Meet Mary Sue and Mary Lou. Sue is on the right, Lou on the left.

These are the two main characters from a story I haven't touched since early Junior year of high school...so about four/five years. Since I haven't really talked about these two other then a recent journal entry, here's the story.

Once, long before anyone can remember [fifteen years ago], the mighty Mary Merry formed a group know only as The Order of Mary and it was good. However, once Mary Merry graduated from high school, all forgot her and her most powerful weapon was lost to the world.
Years later, Mary Sue Black, the most perfect girl in all of the world found that weapon! It was a magical tome with blank pages. With the tome in her possession, Mary Sue rose through the ranks of the Order and became the Head Mary of her branch. Everyone who saw Mary Sue loved and admired her.

The tome allowed the wielder to travel through time, space, and dimension...but Mary Sue liked to use it to enter the realities of her favorite books and TV shows...It totally let her do that.
Once inside a reality, the tome would site magical worlds that would allow Mary Sue and those who traveled with her to blend in with the natives via awesome transformations that made it seem like they had been there the whole time.

On Mary Sue's journeys with her loyal minion, Mary Lou Chicka, Mary Sue gained several magical abilities. Mary Lou gained many mildly convenient curses. The one consistent thing though was that everyone loved them...Though for some reason, many straight men seemed to turn gay if she asked them too.
This pleased her.

The story "Oh That Mary" was written to cheer up my friend Lala when she was really depressed. I greatly enjoyed working on it and I loved it when she took an active part in helping me write it because she always seemed a lot happier when were talking about what the Marys would do next.
Lala is a big yaoi fan so even though I find it annoying when straight characters are made gay in fanfics for the sick pleasure of the author, there was always a lot of fanservice in the stories I did. After all, they were written just for Lala and none of them made it online. She even had me read the stories to her and I got pretty good at doing voices for the characters. I didn't sound like the character of course, but he enjoyed how I gave everyone their own way of speaking and she could tell who said what even without the native parts.

Due to the ability the girls had to become part of whatever reality they were visiting, Mary Sue became a Saiyen [We're 21 and she's STILL obsessed with Vegeta... -.-; Why?] and Mary Lou became an elf...However, due to Lou's habit of getting cursed, when they were in the Ranma 1/2 reality, she fell into the Spring of Punk Rocker. Normally, when they leave a world, the curse would stay in that world and it would only affect her when they'd go back, but when they left the Ranma 1/2 dimension, the curse fused with her normal self and purple magically became her natural hair color. She'd cry whenever someone asked her what happened to her hair. On the bright side, she also gained musical ability she didn't have before...not much since punk rock isn't really all that good, but still.

Mary Sue's appearance was totally defined by Lala. It's kind of her ideal self. Lala has an original character named Veta who also looks exactly like that. She commissions art of it constantly.

Yea...

Mary Lou on the other hand...I have an avatar on Gaia named Mary Lou Chicka. The character's appearance is based on that. When I changed Mary Lou's hair on Gaia, I went into the plot and changed her hair there to match.
