Here is the current progress of my current project.

Here's my Kyo backpack. I still need to make the straps, but I'm nearly done.

Since this will be a backpack, so it'll have a zipper on the side there. I got a 9" zipper in a red orange color, but it's slightly too big, which means I'll need to go back to the store and get a smaller zipper. 7" will be ideal. Since I haven't put in the zipper yet, balance is an issue so I'm holding off on attaching the arms so that I can make sure they're balanced. I want the ribbon in the middle, so I need both arms on before I can attach that.

As soon as I get the zipper I need, this thing is pretty much done. Put on the zipper, make everything balanced, stuff it, done.

WHOO! I expect it to be big enough to hold my phone, my wallet, a camera, and maybe a few trinkets.


Now, I know that in Fruits Basket, Kagura is the one who had the Kyo back pack and not Tohru, who is the character I will be cosplaying, but I wanted a purse that matches my costume for a change. I bought a Yuki necklace on eBay, so I made a Kyo bag.
Kugura's bag has a red ribbon, mine has blue. I made a blue ribbon because of Tohru's hair ribbons. In the anime, she uses blue ribbons in some episodes, yellow in others. For my costume, I'm doing blue ribbons and I wanted to match my bag...Plus I had left over blue fabric from when I made my sister a Christmas stocking for Christmas last year.


I'll have another pictures once it's all done. When I'll be done will be effect by when I'll be able to get back to the fabric store.
